Between October 2023 and February 2024, it was our pleasure to have, all the way from Krakow in Poland, Arek Fröhlich visiting our group. We had already collaborated on one excellent paper in 2023, but this was a great opportunity to work together in person. Arek, I think, had a wonderful time also visiting Australia – though perhaps got too tied up in birdwatching one Sunday in the Dandenong Ranges causing him to miss the last train home, and necessitating a 60km bike ride back to central Melbourne in the dark with no bike lights. He survived, and he DID get to see a lyrebird.
