Udayangani is currently visiting her co-supervisor Prof Nina Rønsted in Copenhagen. She is carrying out a whole batch of phylogenetic analysis on the Australasian magnoliids she has collected as part of her PhD research into identifying the links between plant chemistry and phylogeny, and identification of phylogenetic patterns in potentially medicinal useful compounds in these plants. After 4 weeks in Copenhagen she will also move to Geneva in Switzerland for a few days to visit Jean-Luc Wolfender’s group there and collaborate on some molecular networking analyses. Exciting times for Uday!
