Matt’s just had accepted in Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution (and provisionally published, they don’t hang around at these online journals) a paper, co-authored by others at Deakin, Victoria and LaTrobe universities, that presents an analysis of whether encephalisation and history of human exposure can explain levels of bird tolerance (habituation) to humans in urban areas (nay to the former; yay to the latter).
