Congratulations to Julia, who in addition to her excellent Honours result, has won runner-up for the best short-talk at this year’s Australasian Society for the Study of Animal Behaviour conference in Katoomba. Julia’s talk “Beak size mediates thermoregulatory behaviour in birds” was her first ever talk (in a scientific context I mean, obviously she’s been talking in general for some years now), which makes this prize a fantastic achievement.
